5 Books You Should Read This Winter

The two weeks of winter break can get a little boring, so I've put a list of books together to help you make it through.

The Hobbit
If you like books with lots of adventures and tiny guys with hairy feet, this one is for you! There is a dragon and a mountain of gold. There are dwarfs, elves, orcs (gross.), and wizards. This book has everything!

The Loser List
This one is an easy read if you have a free afternoon. It's really funny, and written kind of like the Wimpy Kid books. If you liked those, but are looking for something a little more grown up you should definitely read this book. I especially recommend this to anyone who is in or is about to go to middle school.

Harry Potter and the... Oh, just read ALL OF THEM!
This series is always at the top of my list. If you haven't seen the movies, you should start from the very beginning to learn about the boy who lived. If going in order doesn't matter to you or you've already seen the movies, read the third book! Prisoner of Azkaban is my FAVORITE book ever!

Little Women
I really enjoyed this fantastic classic book! If you get one of the abridged versions, It's an easy read for some who has enough time to spare. It might take a few days to finish, but you will get there sometime! Amy and Jo are my favorite of the March sisters. When you're done reading, let me know who you liked best.

Just Ella
This book is amazing for everyone to read! It is kind of similar to Cinderella in the beginning, in a way. But near the end, you'll see a turn in it's story. Just Ella is a great girl power book. Girls from age 8 to 108 will love this story.

Remember to email me your book reviews of these or any other stories you've read and want to share!

A Girl and Her Books

A new Little Free Library, and a new blog in the same week! BEST CHRISTMAS EVER!

On this blog, I will be reviewing some of my favorite books, making lists of things I think you should read, and giving updates on the treasures you can find in my library.

Not only will I share my own book reviews, I would love to share yours too. If you have read a book that I haven't gotten around to yet, email me your review to ellaslittlelibrary@gmail.com. I will repost it here and you'll get all the credit. (As long as it isn't mean. Don't send me any mean stuff.)

And one more thing... A BOOK CLUB!

I will be adding a book to my book club list each month. I would love it if you would read with me, then at the end of the month you can send me all your comments! The first book on the list will be "Matilda" by Roald Dahl

We'll be talking about Matilda on January 31.  I can't wait to hear what you think, so get reading!

Check back for details about my Little Free Library's grand opening. It's coming soon!
